Abstract

En los últimos años, Elon Musk se ha convertido en una referencia internacional en el ámbito de la innovación. Entre sus últimas aportaciones se encuentra Neuralink, una empresa neurotecnológica que muchos creen que supondrá todo un hito en el sector. Sin embargo, las aplicaciones que plantea han preocupado a académicos y expertos por el gran impacto que puede generar en la sociedad. En este artículo se ha hecho una breve revisión del estado del arte de la tecnología de interfaces cerebro-máquina, haciendo especial hincapié en las implicaciones éticas asociadas, así como en las medidas que se están empezando a tomar para el desarrollo y uso responsable de esta tecnología.

In recent years, Elon Musk has become an international reference of the innovation sector. Among his latest contributions we could find Neuralink, a neurotechnology company that many believe will be a milestone in the sector. However, the applications that it raises have worried academics and experts due to the great impact it can generate on society. This article has made a brief review of the state of the art of brain-machine interface technology, emphasizing the associated ethical implications, as well as the measures that are beginning to be taken for the development and responsible use of this technology.
