dc.description.abstract | The objective of this project is none other than to evaluate different methodologies to estimate the degradations of turboprop engines after their use in reality.
First of all, it will be discussed which is the best turboprop to analyze, within the proposed engines, being
necessary a previous generic study on the performance and configuration of the turboprop to obtain, as the
project progresses, more and better quality results. In the same way, it is also necessary to determine the
sensors that the engine has, in order to use them for the analysis of the real values that the turboprop itself
would have.
Next, a thermodynamic study of the engine in question must be carried out. For this purpose, the MATLAB
tool will be used, which will allow the turbomachine cycle to be solved for given flight conditions, both inside
and outside the design point.
Once all the information related to the engine has been obtained in different profiles, it is necessary to
extract the resulting information as close as possible to what would be done if the engine were real. For
this purpose, noise will be implemented in the sensors arranged along the analytically modeled turboprop,
simulating the real behavior of the engine sensors. In the same way, the degradations considered appropriate
along the different stages of the turbomachine will also be implemented.
Finally, the data obtained will be analyzed, concluding if the applied methodology is adequate. This process
will be carried out through a statistical study and will be the central part of the analysis, which will lead to its
continuation as future work to determine the tool that best suits the needs of the market. | es |
