Objetive: To carry out a literature review to determine the protocols followed for the cementation of zirconia restorations, as well as their suitability, survival, results and problems. Materials and search methods: A literature review was performed in the PubMed database. Search strategy: "Survival rate" AND "monolithic zirconia"; "Zirconia bonding”; “Monolithic zirconia" AND ("single crown" OR "fixed partial denture"); "Adhesive cementation zirconia crown" Results: From a total of 294 articles according to the search strategies formulated, we selected 119 articles. Of these, 16 articles form part of this literature review. After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Conclusions: Zirconia restorations require internal surface preparation by mechanical and chemical treatment prior to cementation. Adhesive cementation results in high success rates due to the strong bond between the two materials. |
