dc.description.abstract | Kobayashi Issa, considered one of the great three poets of haiku, dedicated most of his life to teaching and composing haiku. This document gives us a brief look at the author’s life as well as a collection of approximately 300 haiku. These have been translated directly to Spanish but also include word-for-word translations to allow the reader to make their own conclusions about the poem’s meaning. As a conclusion to this academic paper, I have gathered some personal thoughts and opinions on where I consider the difficulty of translating haiku lays and some personal interpretations of beautiful haikus written by Issa. | es |
