dc.description.abstract | The institutional communication of the British Royal Household in the management of the
Megxit crisis is a research work in which the communication strategies, techniques and tools
for crisis management by the British Royal Household are analyzed applied to the Megxit case.
For that purpose, the main tools used by the Royal Family are evaluated, examining how
they have managed this crisis communicatively and the means they have used. By means of an
analysis of the messages issued on Twitter by the official account of the Firm, it has been
possible to determine the nature of the statements issued by Buckingham Palace and Her
Majesty the Queen, the image of the conflict and the media image built on the Duke and the
Duchess of Sussex. Previously, a study had been carried out on the treatment of institutional
communication by the Crown on Twitter, the platform chosen for the study.
The conclusion of this research shows that the British Royal Household is rooted in its way
of communicating and managing crises, which does not prevent them from learning from their
mistakes and applying improvements with which it manages to keep public opinion in its favor,
proving the inherent survival of the House of Windsor. | es |
