This Final Degree Project is carried out with the aim of analysing the dynamic behaviour of the scaled railway track located on the roof of the School of Engineering of the University of Seville through a modal analysis. The aim is to obtain the natural frequencies and modes of vibration of the different components of the railway circuit section. This project is proposed as a continuation of Ballester's work [1], to which a series of modifications described in Chapter 2 are made, in search of a better approach to the full-scale track. The results of the new models are compared, after simulation, with the numerical and experimental results obtained in Ballester's project. In the first Chapter, an introduction is made to the dynamics of the track, focusing mainly on the influence of the stiffness and the elastic elements located in the superstructure of the track on its dynamic behaviour. Chapter 2 explains the main characteristics of the scaled track and describes the modifications made to the Ballester model. The main differences between both models are the inclusion of the troncoconic supports, the meshing strategy, the use of other types of elements or the introduction of rubber components, among others. The third Chapter shows the numerical results obtained from the different simulated models. In addition to commenting on the results, these are compared both with the numerical results and with the experimental results of Ballester, which are described in Section 3.6.1. Finally, Chapter 4 sets out the conclusions of this project and possible improvements to be made in future work. |
