Abstract | Objetivos: Estimar si existe asimetría esquelética y/o de la posición dentaria en
pacientes clase II subdivisión entre el lado Clase II y el lado Clase I por medio de
Tomografía de haz de cono (CBCT).
Material y Método: ... Objetivos: Estimar si existe asimetría esquelética y/o de la posición dentaria en pacientes clase II subdivisión entre el lado Clase II y el lado Clase I por medio de Tomografía de haz de cono (CBCT). Material y Método: Se evaluó una muestra de 30 pacientes, de una clínica privada, seleccionados retrospectivamente; con diagnóstico clase II subdivisión que requerían tratamiento, a los que se realizó CBCT de campo amplio que cumplieran los criterios de inclusión. Los datos fueron procesados con Dolphin 3D versión 11.95 Premium software. Los puntos craneométricos, así como el esquema de orientación espacial del modelo tridimensional fueron propuestos por Craig Minich, et al. Resultados: Se comparó el lado Clase II subdivisión y el lado Clase I de cada paciente por medio de medidas intramaxilares, intramandibulares e intermaxilares, valorando cada una en tres dimensiones (sagital, frontal y axial). Además se comparó las mediciones realizadas desde el volumen tridimensional y las generadas en las vistas biplanares. El nivel de significación empleado fue 0.05. El análisis estadístico se efectuó mediante el programa R (R Development Core Team), versión 3.4.4. Se comprobó la variabilidad intraoperatoria por medio de la fórmula de Dahlberg. Dicho error es de 0.35 -1.10, por lo que la orientación espacial y la colocación de puntos craneométricos es repetible y confiable. Conclusiones: El lado Clase II subdivisión es más estrecho, en dicho lado el molar superior se encuentra adelantado; y el molar inferior se encuentra retrasado y en una posición más baja con respecto a la mandíbula. El canino superior se encuentra adelantado y el canino inferior retrasado respecto a la mandíbula. La distancia entre el cóndilo y el foramen mental en lado clase II subdivisión es más corta que en el lado clase I. Existe diferencia entre medir desde una imagen bidimensional y medir desde el volumen tridimensional. Pudiendo por lo anterior concluir que el problema es generado por una desviación de la posición dental así como por una asimetría subyacente. |
