Eudocia, hija de Valentiniano III

Abstract

El presente artículo busca ofrecer y analizar de manera pormenorizada toda la información existente en las fuentes literarias sobre la biografía de la hija mayor de Valentiniano III y Licinia Eudoxia. A pesar del gran interés que puede suscitar la convulsa trayectoria vital de esta mujer perteneciente a la dinastía imperial teodosiana, llama la atención el escaso tratamiento que ha recibido en los trabajos específicos al respecto.

This paper seeks to provide a detailed analysis of the existing literature on the biography of Eudocia: the eldest daughter of Valentinian III and Licinia Eudoxia. Despite the significant interest aroused by her eventful life as a woman belonging to the Theodosian imperial dynasty, it is brought to our attention how little her life is explored in existing works about this period.
