Correcciones y nuevas interpretaciones sobre siete inscripciones votivas de Lusitania

Abstract

En el presente trabajo estudiamos siete inscripciones votivas halladas en la provincia de Cáceres en las que se citan divinidades paleo-hispánicas. Las interpretaciones de lectura que se habían planteado hasta el momento presentaban algunos problemas, debido a la ausencia de paralelos que las apoyaran y, sobre todo, a las diferencias que existían entre las interpretaciones de los distintos autores y lo que se desprendía de la observación de las fotografías publicadas. Con el fin de plantear una interpretación más coherente y fiel a los textos, llevamos a cabo la autopsia de los siete monumentos y revisamos la lectura de todos ellos.

In this paper, we study seven votive inscriptions found in the province of Cáceres in which some paleo-hispanic theonyms are cited. The interpretations of the texts that had been raised so far, had some problems due to the complexity of the proposed readings, to the absence of parallels and, above all, to the differences that existed between the interpretations of the different authors and what could be seen from the observation of the published photographs. In order to present a more coherent hypothesis about these epigraphic texts, we conducted the study of the seven monuments and revised the reading of all of them.
