Sharp en los años ochenta. Invitamos a pensar un principio para ese hacer, inspirados en el inventor de la educación popular en América Latina en el siglo XIX, el venezolano Simón Rodríguez: inventamos o erramos. Desplegamos posibles sentidos políticos de esta alternativa para pensar la práctica filosófica en las escuelas junto a algunas consideraciones sobre las ideas de filosofía e infancia. Sobre esta base, contamos una experiencia de Laura, profesora de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, al llevar la práctica de la filosofía a la escuela anexa de su universidad con niñas y niños pequeños. Su ejemplo ilustra nuestro propósito principal: lo que parece una frustración, por azar, se vuelve un encuentro, una condición, una oportunidad para inventar la propia práctica al hacer filosofía con niñas y niños. Finalmente, proponemos algunos desprendimientos que ese ejemplo nos ayuda a pensar. La fenomenología de Husserl, el análisis de la existencia de Heidegger y la filosofía dialógica de Buber calaron hondo en Binswanger, constituyendo las bases filosóficas de su doctrina analítico-existencial, la cual opuso al reduccionismo fisicalista y mecanicista del psicoanálisis freudiano y a la concepción puramente científico-natural de la enfermedad mental. Not only did he use philosophy to educate a new class of citizens, but he made philosophy necessary for virtue and virtue indispensable for happiness. This method raises awareness on the implicit assumptions and ideas behind the interpretation of human experiences. My recent Socratic Dialogue Groups (SDG) with people recovering from cancer revealed additional perspectives on philosophical reflection. The dialogues among the participants brought out an ontological exigency within reflection that moved beyond purely epistemological thinking. The objective of this article is twofold: First to elucidate the act of reflecting philosophically within my SDGs and secondly to accent the ontological dimension of reflection. My analysis of the process of reflection will draw on Marcel's philosophical reflection and notion of beingArtículo Philosophical dialogue and military decision making(Universidad de Sevilla, 2015) Ikpe, Ibanga B.The military establishment plays an important role in society, not only because it is pivotal in securing the state from external and internal threats but also because the conduct of soldiers affect the fortunes of the state both fiscally and morally. Early in their career, soldiers are trained to be irreproachable in their loyalty, unquestioning in their obedience and unthinking in their pursuit of military objective. This, however changes as they move up into command positions and are required to decide on objectives as well as give orders for others to obey. For many officers, this is usually a difficult transition to make even though Staff School training is supposed to enable them to make this transition. This paper is based on an attempt to introduce philosophical dialogue to student officers of a military academy to help them make this difficult transition. It discusses the use of philosophical dialogue in facilitating officers’ understanding of important issues in the military, including military decision making. It highlights the procedure, difficulties and dangers of facilitating philosophical dialogue between soldiers especially as it relates to the corporate unity and command structure of the military.
