    This dataset support the study of the impact of a mobility platform on cognitive development in children with severe disabilities (GMFCS levels IV-V). Locomotion is crucial in the psychological development of individuals, closely linked to rapid neurocognitive growth. Cause-effect learning, a key aspect of this process, is hindered in children with severe disabilities due to limited interaction with their environment. We developed a platform that attaches to wheelchairs, allowing semi-autonomous indoor navigation controlled by simple switches. This research addresses specific questions: How does the mobility platform influence reaction times compared to traditional therapies? What is the overall user experience? This dataset measures the potential of a mobility platform to enhance cognitive and motor skills in children with severe disabilities, offering new insights into assistive mobility technologies and their role in early cognitive development. The dataset contains 12.528 records and 7 fields, collected between 10/09/2023 and 01/10/2024. The field descriptions are as follows: Identification Field (ID), which uniquely identifies each record of each trial with a given subject; Participant, contains categorical data from 4 anonymized study subjects; Date, which records the day, month, and year of each entry, in the format dd/mm/yyyy; Event, whose values encode the actions of the subject under study (P0: User's button pressed; P1: User's button released) or a change in the state of the mobile platform (M0: Platform stopped; M1: Platform in movement; S0: Platform disconnected; S1: Platform connected and waiting for user's action; S2: Platform moves forward; S3: Platform rotates backward; S4: Platform moves backward; S5: Platform error); Time (Time, x0.1s), the start time of the record; System, records whether the subject used the mobile platform (platform), or belongs to the control group, which used traditional therapy (computer); Error, which indicates whether the record is valid (0) or if an error occurred during data collection (1).

    Los datos presentados constituyen las respuestas a un cuestionario de 36 preguntas de tipo multiple elección, o ecala lickert. Las preguntas son relativas a cuestiones demograficas, habilidades de comunicación y movilidad y aspecto relacionados con la frecuencia y duración de la actividad física que realiza la población. La población considerada son personas con parálisis cerebral.
