Trabajo Fin de Grado Una aproximación experimental a la voz pasiva en la clase de inglés(2024) Casas García, Ángela de las; Jiménez Fernández, Ángel Luis; Universidad de Sevilla. Departamento de Filología Inglesa (Lengua Inglesa)Passive voice teaching stands out as a topic of great interest in education since, as will be demonstrated in this paper, it plays a fundamental role in the English language. Therefore, teachers and learners of English must acquire an understanding that will enable them to master the structure of the passive voice. However, the passive voice can pose particular challenges, as questions may arise about how to explain this grammatical structure effectively and how to present it to Spanish speaking learners of English so that they acquire this knowledge and practice obtaining favourable results. Creating a playful and participatory learning environment that coexists with real-world objects is essential for teaching this grammar point. Thus, this paper aims to provide a study of passive constructions focusing mainly on the content taught to A2 users on this grammatical point. Accordingly, it mentions the levels at which the passive voice should be taught and proposes various books that exemplify what is taught to learners at these levels. Moreover, it exposes the plurilingual approach and what teachers need to know to teach the passive voice effectively. Finally, a discussion of pedagogical approaches to ensure effective teaching of the grammatical construction under study will be undertaken, considering the advantages and disadvantages of gamification and methods that are more conventional.
