INTRODUCTION: Pulp revascularization is a regenerative treatment to treat immature teeth with necrotic pulp caries or trauma, unlike apexification and the use of artificial apical barriers, it allows continuation of root development. This review aims to set out the procedure and principles of revascularization and resume the possible advantages and disadvantages that this technique presents. METHOD: the search is performed in PubMed database, where 11 out of total articles have been used for this review, as well as some articles provided by the teacher and four books. CONCLUSION: Regenerative endodontic treatment is a viable treatment option for immature permanent teeth with necrotic pulp, which allows root development and thickening of dentinal walls. It is essential to achieve a disinfect channel, a scaffold that promote the tissue growth and an access seal that prevent bacterial filtration.
