dc.description.abstractThorium is a very sensitive element to matrix effects that appear at different stages of its preparation to be measured by alpha-particle spectrometry. These effects are particularly important for inorganic solid samples from environmental and industrial origin. To deal with this problem and to define the most suitable method, not only from a technical point of view but also considering cost, time and chemical reagents used, a research project was started. In this work, the main results of this project are shown.es
