Alimentación de la ictiofauna del embalse de torrejón (rio tajo, Cáceres)

Abstract

Feeding of the four most abundant fish species of Torrejon reservoir (Tagus river) are studied by analysis of gut contents. A diet index is applied to the analysis of data. The results show the amplitude and overlap of the diet, and the detritus importance in the species studied. The interspecific competition is considered low, because the food is abundant, and the species take their prey at various trophic levels.
