mi tutor José Joaquín Parra Bañón me mostró
Prestar especial atención a atributos particulares
proyectar edificios tan monumentales?
dc.description.abstract | It was during the process of choice of the theme to carry out in this dissertation, when in one of the tutorials before the begining of the term, my tutor José Joaquín Parra Bañón show me a drawing of Etienne-Louis Boullée. Facing this discovery and the start of an interest in the work of the architect, it begins this research work. Faced with the lacking relevance that Boullée has nowadays at the Architecture School in comparison with generations who mostly talk about Le Corbusier, Alvar Aalto, Mies Van der Rohe o Frank Lloyd Wright, it would has such a great interest to carry through a slight research about this architect, having thus the posibility of approach and defend his work to as many students or not as are interested in knowing who was a model to many others architects some centuries back.
The main aim of this research it will be to pay attention to some particulars attributes at the graphic work of Boullée. Parts such the clouds, the scale, the light inside of startling atmospheres, and so do the shadows of the buildings it will be estudy as keys to understand the intentions of the Boullée’s drawings. For what or who he drew? What promoted him to project such monumental buildings? Why does Boullée always represent a stormy and unclouded sky, which could thus bring more light to his buildings? It will attempt to emphasize the graphic representation of these elements, trying to understand the importance of these within the whole project and the own drawing. | es |
