La ciudad y el vacío: recorrido de la Encarnación en el tiempo

Abstract

El concepto de plaza urbana ha ido cambiando con el tiempo debido a las diferentes características que han ido adquiriendo a lo largo de los años. Con este trabajo se propone el desarrollo y evolución histórica-urbana sobre la actual plaza de la Encarnación de Sevilla, pasando por cada una de las etapas que han marcado un antes y un después, desde la existencia de la antigua manzana como convento hasta el actual mercado de la Encarnación Metropol Parasol. Tras cinco años de carrera el alumnado va adquiriendo diferentes conocimientos en determinados ámbitos de aprendizaje por los que siente más atracción y afinidad. Personalmente, tras cursar las asignaturas de “HTCA 4” y “Arquitectura y Patrimonio”, he sentido un interés especial por temas como la historia y el contacto con los elementos patrimoniales y la relación entre ambos aspectos. En este sentido, pretendo plasmar en este documento, la historia, conservación y respeto por los yacimientos arqueológicos que actualmente se encuentran en la Encarnación, poniendo en duda la relación y contacto con dichos yacimientos.

The concept of urban square has changed over the time due to the different characteristics that they have been acquired over the years. This work proposes the development and historical-urban evolution of the current Plaza de la Encarnación in Seville, going through each of the stages that have marked a before and after, from the existence of the old block as a convent to the current market of the Encarnación Metropol Parasol. After a five-year career, the students acquire different knowledge in certain areas of learning for which they feel more attraction and affinity. Personally, after taking the subjects of “HTCA 4” and “Architecture and Heritage”, I have felt a special interest in themes such as history and contact with heritage elements and the relationship between both aspects. In this sense, I intend to capture in this document, the history, conservation and respect for archaeological sites that are currently in the Incarnation, questioning the relationship and contact with these sites.
