Cine por y para todos. Inclusión e interpretación en la cinematografía española

Abstract

Con este trabajo nos acercamos al ámbito general de la discapacidad en el cine español, y al particular de la interpretación desde la experiencia del discapacitado, poniendo de manifiesto la difícil realidad a la que se enfrenta este colectivo. El trabajo se desarrolla en cuatro apartados básicos. En Introducción (1) presentamos su justificación y objetivos, planteamiento general, estructura y metodología. El Marco Teórico (2) se plantea como ejercicio de síntesis de la figura del discapacitado y la evolución de su representación en la historia del cine, el concepto de discapacidad y sus tipos, y la presencia de la diversidad funcional en el cine español. En Resultados y Discusión (3) presentamos e interpretamos datos de tipo cuantitativo relacionados con la participación de la discapacidad en la interpretación, papeles que representan y situación laboral, así como cualitativos relacionados con la formación del actor con diversidad funcional en el ámbito de las Escuelas Superiores de Arte Dramático (ESAD), las ayudas generales o especificas de carácter social y económico de apoyo y fomento de la inclusión desde el punto de vista del empleador y el empleado, con un análisis de varias de la películas a modo de ejemplo de la situación en la filmografía española. En Conclusiones (4) damos respuesta a las preguntas iniciales planteadas y apuntamos una serie de recomendaciones que podrían facilitar el trabajo diario de las personas con discapacidad funcional.

The aim of this study is to make a general approach to the disability field in the Spanish cinema industry and, more specifically, to the acting one. To do so, the disabled person’s point of view is going to be taken into consideration to show the actual difficulties that these people are doomed to face nowadays. In this regard, four main sections are going to be exposed. Firstly, the Introduction (1) gathers the information related to the justification and objectives of the study, a general approach to the topic, and the main details about the structure and methodology followed for the project. Secondly, the Theoretical Framework (2) contains a summary of the situation and acting job of disabled people in the Spanish cinema industry throughout history, a definition of ‘disability’ and its main types, as well as the presence of the functional diversity in the Spanish cinema. In the third place, the section of Results and Discussion (3) will be focused on presenting and interpreting the quantitative data related to the involvement of disability in the acting job, the roles that disabled people play in films, and their employment situation. On the other hand, qualitative data is going to be detailed too in this same section, since it is studied the education that a disabled person is provided with thanks to the Spanish Schools of Dramatic Art (ESAD) and the social and economic aids offered to promote inclusion, all of which will be illustrated with some Spanish films. Finally, the section Conclusions (4) is intended to offer the answers to the questions asked at the beginning of the study, as well as a considerable range of best practices that could be considered to facilitate the daily job of an actor suffering from disability.
