dc.description.abstract | La Upper Echelon Theory (Teoría del Escalón o Nivel Superior) de Hambrick y Mason (1984) se ha
caracterizado, a lo largo del tiempo, por ser una corriente de pensamiento: a) con una gran repercusión
en la literatura organizativa/estratégica; b) que ha trascendido desde el núcleo de conocimiento
organizativo de origen hacia otras áreas cognitivas como el Marketing y la Psicología; y b) que,
después de veinte años y un gran debate/controversia, no sólo aún pervive y se enriquece, sino que
sigue despertando un gran interés tanto en el mundo académico como empresarial. Un gran debate al
que nos sumamos con este trabajo tratando de aportar, al igual que otros, un poco de luz. Para ello, nos
valdremos de los resultados obtenidos tras realizar una revisión bibliográfica de las investigaciones
publicadas en relación con la Upper Echelon Theory en las principales publicaciones norteamericanas
a lo largo de los últimos veinte años. | es |
dc.description.abstract | The Upper Echelon Theory of Hambrick and Mason (1984) has been characterized, throughout the
time, for being a current of thought: a) with a great repercussion in the organizational/strategic
literature; b) that it has have come out from the nucleus of organizational knowledge of origin towards
other cognitive areas as the Marketing and the Psychology; and c) that, after twenty years and a great
debate/controversy, not only still go on and prospers, but it continues waking a great interest up so
much in the academic as managerial world. We add to this debate with this work trying to reach, as
others, a bit from light. For it, we will use of the results obtained in this work after realizing a
bibliographical review of the investigations published in relation with the Upper Echelon Theory in
the major journals of USA across the last twenty years. | es |
