Tratamiento de recesiones gingivales aisladas en el quinto sextante

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar una revisión bibliográfica sobre los posibles tratamientos mucogingivales de las recesiones gingivales localizadas, específicamente del quinto sextante. MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: utilizando la base de datos de Pubmed se realizó una búsqueda estrategica con palabras claves como recesiones gingivales simples, cirugía plástica periodontal, tratamiento quirúrgico, cirugía mucogingival y mandíbula. Una vez obtenidos los artículos de la búsqueda y aplicado los criterios tanto de inclusión como de exclusión procedemos a realizar la discusión. RESULTADOS Y DISCUSIÓN: se obtuvo un total de 12 artículos, en los cuales se comparaban los distintos tratamientos mucogingivales para la recesion gingival. CONCLUSIONES: el colgajo coronal avanzado (CAF) junto con injerto de tejido conectivo (CTG) presenta buenos resultados frente a las recesiones gingivales. El colgajo desplazado lateralmente es una alternativa de tratamiento frente a la técnica de CAF. El uso de una membrana de fibrina rica en plaquetas favorece la comodidad postoperatoria en la técnica CAF.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this work is to perform a literature review on the possible mucogingival treatments of localized gingival recessions, specifically the fifth sextant. MATERIAL AND METHOD: using the Pubmed database, a strategic search was carried out with key words such as gingival recessions single, periodontal plastic surgery, surgical treatment, mucogingival surgery and jaw. Once the articles of the search have been obtained and the inclusion and exclusion criteria applied, we proceed to carry out the discussion. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: a total of 12 articles were obtained, comparing the different mucogingival treatments for gingival recession. CONCLUSIONS: the advanced coronal flap (CAF) together with connective tissue graft (CTG) has good results against gingival recessions. The laterally displaced flap is an alternative treatment against the CAF technique. The use of a fibrin membrane rich in platelets favors postoperative comfort in the CAF technique.
