Abstract

Este artículo hace un recorrido histórico y periodístico del suplemento mensual femenino donne chiesa mondo, editado desde mayo de 2012 por L'Osservatore Romano, el diario de la Ciudad del Vaticano. Se trata de una iniciativa nacida en la Iglesia católica, con el objetivo de mostrar el papel de la mujer en la Iglesia, pero con una dimensión mundial, pretendiendo llegar más allá del catolicismo. Las conclusiones señalan que es un proyecto pionero por sus características y por las diferentes temáticas tratadas, con una mayor difusión en los últimos años y, especialmente, una reciente renovación que ha provocado una gran influencia en el periódico vaticano

This paper makes a historical and journalistic tour of donne chiesa mondo, the feminine supplement published monthly since May 2012 by L'Osservatore Romano, the newspaper of Vatican City. It is an initiative born within the Catholic Church, with the aim of showing the role of women in the Church, but with a global dimension and trying to reach beyond Catholicism. The conclusions demonstrate that it is a pioneer project due to its characteristics and the different topics treated, with wider circulation in the last years and, especially, a new design that has caused a great influence in the Vatican newspaper.
