Sobre la reja de la Capilla Real de Sevilla (1766-1774)

Abstract

La realización de la reja que cierra la Capilla Real de Sevilla fue el proyecto de mayor importancia de los cometidos en dicha estancia durante el siglo XVIII. El diseño definitivo fue aportado por el ingeniero Sebastián van der Borcht en 1765, sin embargo, el proceso de ejecución se alargó varios años. La intención de este estudio es aclarar el grado de intervención de los diferentes maestros que trabajaron en el proyecto a partir de la documentación que describía y registraba lo concerniente a la que será la reja más monumental de las realizadas en la Catedral de Sevilla durante el setecientos.

The realization of the grating that closes the Royal Chapel of Seville was the most important project of this stay committed during the eighteenth century.
