Hacia una ficción espacial. Hábitat y turismo

Abstract

La naturaleza afectada por la intervención humana es paisaje como resultado de la transformación que el hombre realiza en el medioambiente. Esta idea pone al descubierto el problema del desencuentro entre territorio y ciudad. La naturaleza tiene sus propias leyes y el paisaje urbano creado por y para el hombre, también las tiene. Ninguna actividad humana ha tenido tanta repercusión devastadora sobre el territorio como el turismo, su colisión con la naturaleza es traumática. El caso de Torremolinos y la Costa del Sol evidencia la amenaza de esos desacuerdos. En el caso concreto de Torremolinos, como en otros muchos municipios de la Costa del Sol, las lógicas del territorio municipal, que soportan el ecosistema natural, están fracturadas por una planificación que las ha ignorado sistemáticamente. Un elemento esencial de la acción humana es la de estar dirigida hacia el futuro, abierta a reprogramar las preexistencias. Y el futuro exige el estudio del paisaje como un medio conglomerante de toda la compleja realidad de nuestro territorio. Es necesario determinar sin prejuicios el planeamiento de futuro, desde la playa y los orígenes de la población, y la elaboración de un programa acotado por el diseño y la reubicación de cada pieza ante el carácter variable de las expectativas. Con las edificaciones turísticas residenciales y hoteleras de la Costa desaparecen el sentido de población y de barrio y se pierde la noción de la identidad física de lo pintoresco local. Las bases de un futuro pasan por prever, planear, elaborar nuevos programas y diseñar, a veces sustrayendo, la Costa del Futuro.

The nature affected by human intervention is landscape as a result of the transformation that man performs in the environment. This idea exposes the problem of the disagreement between territory and city. Nature has its own laws and the urban landscape created by and for man, also has them. No human activity has had as much devastating impact on the territory as tourism, its collision with nature is traumatic. The case of Torremolinos and the Costa del Sol shows the threat of these disagreements. In the specific case of Torremolinos, as in many other municipalities on the Costa del Sol, the logics of the municipal territory, which support the natural ecosystem, are fractured by planning that has systematically ignored them. An essential element of human action is to be directed towards the future, open to reprogram the preexistences. And the future demands the study of the landscape as a conglomerating means of all the complex reality of our territory. It is necessary to determine without prejudice the future planning, from the beach and the origins of the population, and the elaboration of a program limited by the design and the relocation of each piece before the variable nature of the expectations. With the residential and hotel tourist buildings of the Coast, the sense of population and neighborhood disappears, and the notion of the physical identity of the local pictures disappears. The basis of a future is to anticipate, plan, develop new programs and design, sometimes subtracting, the Coast of the Future.
