La acústica de espacios religiosos jesuitas y manuelinos en Lisboa

Abstract

We are presenting the acoustical analysis of two of the most important churches in Lisbon: the church of Sao Roque and the Hieronymites' Monastery. Although both of them are religious order churches and two beautiful examples of Portuguese architecture, their style and acoustical behavior are very different. Moreover the way of covering them is also diverse. Sao Roque has a flat wood ceiling and the church of the Hieronymites' Monastery is covered with vaults.
