dc.description.abstractA kinetic one-dimensional bonded fluid model is formulated by extending a model for water due to Bell. The behavior of the system under continuous cooling is analyzed by use of a Monte Carlo simulation method. It shows a phenomenon similar to the laboratory glass transition. The dependences of the glass transition temperatures and of the residual energy on the cooling rate are discussed.es
