Nuevas aportaciones sobre las reliquias y relicarios de San Fernando: Sevilla y Madrid

Abstract

Las aportaciones documentales sobre los relicarios y reliquias de San Fernando, a lo largo de la historia, se han venido repitiendo, sin observar y analizar detenidamente, el relicario, la reliquia y el documento. Basándome en la documentación publicada recientemente, 2011, en el XXIV Congreso de Archiveros de la Iglesia española, por José Gámez Martín, así como la que aquí aporto del inventario del Relicario del Palacio Real de Madrid, doy a conocer dos nuevas piezas, que aparecían documentadas pero hasta la fecha no habían sido identificadas, llevando a equivocadas atribuciones que se han mantenido durante más de un siglo. Por otro lado, ratificamos la catalogación que desde 1976 hizo la profesora Sanz Serrano de uno de los relicarios de la Capilla Real Sevillana.

Documentary contributions related with reliquaries and relics of San Fernando have being constantly repeated through history withont a careful observation and analysis of the reliquary, the relic and the document. On the basis of documents published recently, 2011, on the XXIV Congress de Archiveros de la iglesia española, by José Gámez Martín, and the also giving account of the inventory of the reliquary in the Royal Chapel of Madrid. I bring up now two more pieces, which were documented but not identified until now, leading to mistaken attributions mantained during more than one century. On the other side, we ratify the cataloguing done since 1976 by professor Saínz Serrano of the reliquarie kept in the Royal Chapel of Sevilla.
