¿Fantasía o realidad? estereotipos de género en el cine

Abstract

Hablar del cine en nuestros días supone aceptarlo como un poderoso medio de comunicación de masas. Asimismo, el cine es también un medio de transmisión de contenidos de diversa índole, al mismo tiempo que tiene gran aceptación entre el público de todas las edades. Sin embargo, no todos los contenidos que transmite el cine son todo lo deseables que deberían ser, motivo por el que, en el presente trabajo, analizaremos la representación del hombre y la mujer en algunas películas de éxito en las que la protagonista es una o varias mujeres. Nuestra intención, a través de la semiótica, es ver cómo de diferentes son representados ambos géneros y cómo dicha representación se corresponde con los estereotipos de género que, por desgracia, permanecen en nuestra sociedad.

Nowadays, talk about cinema supposed to accept it as a powerful way to transmit information. Also, cinema is a means of transmission of contents of various types, at the same time that has wide acceptance among the public of all ages. However, not all content transmitted by the film are all the desirable which ought to be. This is the reason why, in this paper, we will analyze the representation of the man and the woman in some movies of success in which the protagonist is one or several women. Our intention, across the semiotica, is to see how of different are both genres represented and how such representation corresponds to the gender stereotypes which, unfortunately, still remain in our society.
