Prótesis Testiculares en la Infancia

Abstract

Desde el advenimiento de las prótesis testiculares, éstas han sido utilizadas para paliar en gran medida los efectos estéticos derivados del anorquismo. Se presentan 35 casos de colocación de prótesis testiculares tras 32 atrofias secundarias a ectopias, dos secundarias a herniorrafías y una postorsión. En 26 niños se obtuvieron resultados excelentes y en ocho de ellos aparecieron algunas de estas complicaciones: intolerancia, ascenso de prótesis al pubis, posición horizontal u oblicua de la misma en la bolsa escrotal y molestias con prendas ajustadas.
