secuenciales (Protaper Next, Gold, Ultimate, Trunatomy, Hyflex CM, M Two, Race
dc.description.abstract | Introduction: The main objective of root canal treatment is to reduce as much as
possible the amount of microorganisms and their toxins inside the root canals. This
can be achieved by instrumentation and with the help of irrigants. Given the large
number of rotary systems available, it is a great challenge for the dentist to know
which system to use in each clinical case. For this reason, this review aims to go
through the selected systems in order to guide the practitioner in working with them.
- Objetives: The main objective was to review the main sequential file systems in
order to study the main characteristics of each one, describe the standardized
sequence and compare the main similarities and differences between them.
- Material and method: A search of twelve sequential file systems (Protaper Next,
Gold, Ultimate, Trunatomy, Hyflex CM, M Two, Race Evo, Race, Rotate, Endogal,
SlimShaper, and BlueShaper) was performed on the websites of the commercial
companies and in the Pubmed database. Specific inclusion criteria and a search
strategy have been used to obtain the maximum information about the use and
characteristics of each of them.
- Results: The user manuals for each system were available in each commercial
company, where their characteristics were also listed. In Pubmed, several
comparative studies were compiled between different systems, making it possible to
clarify in a scientific manner which one performs better and how their
characteristics have improved over time.
- Conclusions: There are multiple sequential systems. It is essential for their use to
know the characteristics and torque of each one to achieve optimal treatment and
avoiding iatrogenic errors due to inadequate use. The triangular cross-section type
seems to be related to greater apical extrusion of debris. In addition, the horizontal
"S" cross-section type could show greater resistance to cyclic fatigue than other
types of sections | es |
