Patrimonio residencial contemporáneo en Sevilla: las nueve manzanas de Los Remedios "Viejo"

Abstract

El reconocimiento del patrimonio residencial contemporáneo está aumentando en los últimos años, sin embargo, pese a formar gran parte de la arquitectura de las ciudades actuales, son estos conjuntos los menos estudiados y, por tanto, los que menor nivel de protección poseen. Tras analizar la metodología multidisciplinar y pionera propuesta por el Instituto Andaluz de Patrimonio Histórico (IAPH) para la tutela y protección de barriadas residenciales del Movimiento Moderno, aplicamos sus conclusiones -acotándola al marco de un Trabajo de Fin de Grado de Arquitectura- a un nuevo caso de estudio: Los Remedios “Viejo” en la ciudad de Sevilla. Con ello contribuimos a completar el vacío existente sobre los valores patrimoniales de esta barriada en el contexto de la conservación del patrimonio cultural contemporáneo. Este TFG aborda un análisis urbano, arquitectónico y constructivo de la barriada desde el momento de su construcción la actualidad, aportando las claves a partir de las cuales articular la valoración patrimonial de Los Remedios “Viejo” desde una perspectiva arquitectónica, urbana y paisajística.

The recognition of contemporary residential heritage is increasing in recent years, however, despite forming a large part of the architecture of today's cities, these sets are the least studied and, therefore, are the ones that obtain the lowest level of protection. After analyzing the multidisciplinary and pioneering methodology proposed by the Andaluz de Patrimonio Histórico (IAPH) for the patrimonial guardianship protection of residential neighborhoods of the Modern Movement, we applied it - limiting it to the study framework of a Final Degree Project - to a new case study: Los Remedios "Viejo" in the city of Seville. Contributing to the existing gap on the conservation of contemporary cultural heritage. With this, we contribute to fill the existing gap on the heritage values of this neighborhood in the context of the conservation of contemporary cultural heritage. This work performs an urban, architectural and constructive analysis of the neighborhood from the moment of its construction to the present, providing the keys from which to articulate the heritage valuation of Los Remedios "Viejo" from an architectural, urban and landscape perspective.
