dc.description.abstract | This bachelor thesis is part of a joint project between the Escuela Superior de Ingeniería of Seville and the
Hospital Universitario Vírgen del Rocío of Seville. This project consists of a study of kinematic and dynamic
analysis of experimental measures that provide specific information about a stroke affected patient’s medical
state while carrying out a certain daily life task. Using this data, the intention is to propose metrics that allow a
more personalized and specific clinical practice and rehabilitation for each patient. For this, the hospital carried
out a series of tests, with healthy as well as affected patients, where the subject had to perform a certain task, in
this case either bringing the hand to the mouth or drinking from a glass. There were several markers placed on
the subject’s body to record the position and movement, in order to subsequently be able to calculate different
metrics of interest, both static and dynamic. In this particular thesis, the collaboration with this project is centered
around the creation of a program that creates three reports; two with static and kinematic metrics and a
consistency report, the comparison of these calculated metrics with the ones facilitated by the hospital, as well
as a study of the proposed smoothness metrics. | es |
