The Outsider by Albert Camus is one of the best-known novels of this author and the one that has given rise to the most interpretations. In the present work, we will address one of the key themes of the work: the moral judgement; which begins with the death of the outsider's mother, and ends with the capital punishment of the protagonist. In addition, other key themes in the thought of the Algerian writer will be treated, such as the death penalty, the absurd, sensualism or the role of death in his work. |
