Entre luces y sombras: La Inteligencia Artificial en el periodismo y sus desafíos profesionales, éticos y sociales

Abstract

Esta investigación se centra en la evolución de la inteligencia artificial y su integración en las redacciones periodísticas. Partiendo de este análisis, el trabajo trata otras cuestiones como: cuáles son los nuevos retos que propone esta convivencia entre IA y periodismo en términos laborales, qué nuevo perfil de periodista se necesita para trabajar con esta nueva tecnología y que implicaciones éticas conlleva. En este sentido, se ha analizado cómo la incorporación de la IA en el sector periodístico puede influir en la proliferación o verificación de prácticas desinformativas y noticias falsas, así como en la sociedad en general con problemáticas como la del sexismo digital, entre otras. Por último, de cara al futuro, se han analizado los planes de estudio de aquellas facultades españolas de periodismo que incluyen en su enseñanza asignaturas relacionadas con el ámbito digital, para detectar qué se está consiguiendo y cuáles son los fallos del sistema que formará a los periodistas del futuro, quienes trabajarán mano a mano con la inteligencia artificial. Es decir, en general esta investigación tiene como finalidad conocer cómo debemos aprender de la IA para aplicarla en nuestro trabajo y en nuestro día a día de una manera ética y responsable dejando de lado la mala práctica y apostando por la posibilidad de evolución que esta nos brinda.

This research focuses on the evolution of Artificial Intelligence and its integration in newsrooms. Based on this analysis, questions such as what are the new challenges proposed by this coexistence between AI and journalism in labor terms have also been addressed at work, identifying what new profile of journalist is needed to work with this new technology, as well as in ethical terms. In this sense, it has been analyzed how the incorporation of AI in the journalistic sector can influence the proliferation or verification of disinformation and fake news, as well as in society in general with digital sexism, among other things. Finally, and looking to the future, the curricula of those Spanish faculties of journalism have been analyzed that include in their teaching subjects related to the digital world, to detect what is being achieved and what is failing in the system that will train journalists of the future, who will work hand in hand with Artificial Intelligence. That is to say, in general this research aims to know how we should learn from AI to apply it in our work and in our day to day in an ethical and responsible way leaving aside the bad practice and betting on the possibility of evolution that this us toasts.
