La rivalidad Betis - Sevilla, una más de las dualidades sevillanas

Abstract

Este trabajo busca mostrar la importancia que existe en la ciudad de Sevilla con respecto a la rivalidad Betis-Sevilla generada por el seguimiento del fútbol en la capital andaluza. Además, se trata de explicar la idiosincrasia de los sevillanos con respecto a otros aspectos relacionados con la ciudad, la cual se basa en una dualidad constante (Semana Santa - Feria de abril, Esperanza Macarena - Esperanza de Triana, Sevilla - Triana…), estableciendo como tronco y ejemplo central de la explicación la rivalidad del fútbol sevillano. Por otro lado, se analizarán diferentes momentos históricos en los que las directivas de ambos clubes llevaron a cabo enfrentamientos directos faltando al respeto y la cordialidad propia de las élites institucionales que deben establecer ambas directivas. A su vez, compararlo con algún momento en el que sí se respetó ese pacto de convivencia y cordialidad en momentos previos y posteriores a los derbis. Por último, analizar el tratamiento que dan las secciones de cada club en el medio ABC de Sevilla (Al Final de La Palmera y Orgullo de Nervión) en ciertas polémicas arbitrales de los últimos derbis. Este análisis tendrá como objetivo principal mostrar si se respeta la profesión periodística cumpliendo la imparcialidad propia de la misma o, si por el contrario, hay una gran parcialidad y la profesionalidad no se cumple. Siempre hay que tener en cuenta que se tratan de secciones dirigidas a cada una de las aficiones de los dos clubes de Sevilla y que el contexto refleja una rivalidad muy fuerte.

This work seeks to show the importance that exists in the city of Seville with respect to the Betis-Sevilla rivalry generated by the monitoring of football in the Andalusian capital. In addition, it tries to explain the idiosyncrasy of the Sevillians with respect to other aspects related to the city, which is based on a constant duality (Holy Week - April Fair, Esperanza Macarena - Esperanza de Triana, Seville - Triana...), establishing as a core and central example of the explanation the rivalry of Sevillian football. On the other hand, different historical moments will be analyzed in which the directors of both clubs carried out direct confrontations, disrespecting and cordiality proper to the institutional elites that must establish both directives. In turn, compare it with some time when this pact of coexistence and cordiality was respected in moments before and after the derbies. Finally, to analyze the treatment given by the sections of each club in the medium ABC of Seville (At the End of La Palmera and Orgullo de Nervión) in certain arbitral polemics of the last derbies. This analysis will have as its main objective to show whether the journalistic profession is respected by fulfilling its own impartiality or, if on the contrary, there is a great bias and professionalism is not met. Always keep in mind that these are sections aimed at each of the fans of the two clubs in Seville and that the context reflects a very strong rivalry.
