The objective of this project is to assess the thermal comfort conditions in homes designated for vulnerable communities in the city of Seville, Spain. The study focuses on understanding how the extreme climatic conditions of the region, with very hot summers and mild winters, affect the well-being of the residents in these homes. To conduct the research, surveys will be used to collect data on the thermal sensation (TSV) and thermal preferences (TPV) of inhabitants. Key environmental variables, such as air temperature and relative humidity, among others, will also be measured and analyzed to understand the thermal context in which these communities live. In addition, the aim is to develop an adaptive comfort model that takes into account Seville’s climatic characteristics and the residents’ thermal preferences. The goal is to propose specific solutions to improve the energy efficiency and thermal comfort of the homes, ensuring more sustainable housing. This model will allow for the identification of the particular needs of vulnerable communities and provide recommendations to optimize the design and management of homes in terms of thermal comfort. |
