dc.description.abstract | The Coupled Criterion of Finite Fracture Mechanics (CC-FFM) is currently being highly used to predict crack onset and propagation in many fields. In this project, the particular formulation based on the Minimization of Total Energy (composed of potential plus released energy) subjected to Stress Condition (PMTE-SC) will be numerically applied to Double Cantilever Beams (DCB) and Double Lap Joints (DLJ). Reverse engineering will be employed to characterize Linear Elastic Brittle Interfaces (LEBIM) properties through experiments from the literature. Comparisons between numerical and analytical results will be made to validate the Python-ABAQUS tool in which the project is based. | es |
