Diseño e implementación de un simulador de vuelo del Airbus A320 basado en FlightGear

Abstract

El proyecto consiste en reemplazar el simulador actual del laboratorio de Ingeniería Aeroespacial en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Sevilla por uno más moderno, que permita volar el Airbus A320. El objetivo principal es que el alumnado de la escuela de ingeniería pueda utilizar este simulador. Para lograr esto, se utilizarán mandos de vuelo, los cuales necesitarán ser configurados para que las funciones de los ejes y botones coincidan con los controles en la cabina del Airbus A320. Esto permitirá una experiencia de vuelo más realista y facilitará el aprendizaje para los estudiantes. Además de la configuración de los mandos de vuelo, será necesario programar códigos que permitan mostrar las pantallas informativas del piloto en pantallas externas. Esto implica que el monitor principal del ordenador que ejecuta el simulador mostrará la cabina del avión lo menos posible, centrándose principalmente en el campo de vuelo. Esta configuración proporcionará una experiencia más inmersiva y realista durante el vuelo simulado. Finalmente, se ha diseñado una cabina en CATIA. Este diseño permitirá la construcción física de la cabina en el taller de la Universidad de Sevilla. En esta cabina se podrán acoplar las pantallas configuradas y los mandos de vuelo, brindando un entorno de simulación completo y funcional para los estudiantes.

The project consists of replacing the current simulator in the Aerospace Engineering Laboratory at the Higher Technical School of Engineering in Seville with a more modern one that allows for Ćying the Airbus A320, one of the most widely used airplanes today. The objective is for the students of the engineering school to use it. For its development, Ćight controls will be used, and it will be necessary to conĄgure them to match the functions of the axis or button with those in the A320 cockpit. Additionally, programming codes will be needed to display pilot information screens on external monitors, minimizing the display of the cockpit on the main computer monitor running the simulator and focusing primarily on the Ćight Ąeld. Lastly, a cabin design has been created in CATIA, which will be constructed in the workshop of the University of Seville to accommodate the conĄgured screens and Ćight controls. In summary, the project involves replacing the current simulator with a more modern one that allows for Ćying the Airbus A320. It includes conĄguring Thrustmaster Ćight controls to match the functions in the cockpit, programming codes to display pilot information screens on external monitors, and constructing a physical cabin designed in CATIA. This will provide the students at the Higher Technical School of Engineering in Seville with a more complete and educational simulated Ćight experience.
