Thomas Hobbes y la fundamentación del Estado Moderno

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo realizar un estudio sobre la filosofía política de Thomas Hobbes, expuesta mayoritariamente en su obra cumbre por antonomasia, El Leviatán; para demostrar la influencia de sus tesis en la fundamentación del Estado moderno. Con este fin, hemos abordado la problemática desde una metodología hermenéutica, de perspectiva gadameriana, que conlleva tres niveles de análisis: el interpretativo, el comprensivo y el aplicativo. En sí, el escrito ha quedado narrado siguiendo el proceso lógico que implica nuestra metodología, manteniendo siempre latente la pregunta por la fundamentación del Estado moderno, que ha quedado apoyada en la obra hobbesiana.

The objective of the present undertaking is to carry out a study about Thomas Hobbes’s political philosophy, which is exposed mainly in his major work par excellence “The Leviathan”, so as to decree the influence of his thesis on the grounding of the Modern State. To this end, we have addressed the issue from a hermeneutic approach, of a gadamerianic perspective, which involves three levels of analysis: the interpretative, the comprehensive and the applicative one. In essence, the writing has been narrated by following the logical process which entails our methodology , always keeping the question regarding the grounding of the Modern State alive, which has been supported by the Hobbesian work.
