El territorio como soporte patrimonial en el conjunto de Sancti Petri

Abstract

La incorporación del territorio a las figuras de protección patrimoniales ha marcado un antes y un después en la manera de interpretar y resguardar los valores de cada pueblo, de una manera conjunta, evitando la fragmentación. En este trabajo se analizan las claves dentro de la figura de protección “zona patrimonial”, figura relativamente reciente que incorpora al territorio como elemento integrador y vertebrador de los diferentes bienes patrimoniales que se encuentran en él. Con estas claves se interpreta el conjunto de Sancti Petri y su entorno, siendo el eje estructurador el caño de Sancti Petri. El análisis recorre todo el caño, desde el Castillo de Sancti Petri hasta La Carraca, así como las zonas aledañas de salinas y marismas, registrando todos los bienes patrimoniales allí presentes y demás elementos que definen el paisaje. El propósito de este consiste en poner en conjunto todos los elementos que acompañan al abandonado poblado pesquero, incluido su enclave, con la intención de que se puedan proteger esas arquitecturas olvidadas y sus entornos ya que son la evidencia de la historia del lugar, de su identidad y que toman mayor sentido entendidas en su conjunto. Finalmente se propone una delimitación en la que se puede aplicar la figura de protección mencionada.

The incorporation of territory to the heritage protection figures has established a turning point in the way of interpreting and guarding the values of each place, in a joint manner, avoiding the fragmentation. In this work the main keys are review in the protection figure: heritage zone, a relatively recent figure which includes the territory as an integrator element and a backbone of the different heritage assets in it. With these keys the Sancti Petri area and its environment it is interpreted, being the called as Caño de Sancti Petri the main axis. The analysis traverse this entire element: from the Sancti Petri Castle to La Carraca as well as the saltworks around and the marshes, recording all the heritage assets present there and the other elements that define the landscape. The purpose of this work is to put together all these elements that accompany the abandoned fishing village, including its enclave, with the intention of granting protection to all these forgotten architectures and their environments since they are the evidence of the history of the place, of its identity, and taking on greater meaning when understood as a whole. Finally, a delimitation is proposed in which the aforementioned figure of protection can be applied.
