Relación entre arte y arquitectura en las vangurdias neoplasticistas: la casa del Chófer como punto de inflexión en la trayectoria habitacional de Gerrit Rietveld

Abstract

El presente Trabajo Fin de Grado aborda la relación entre el Arte y la Arquitectura durante el desarrollo de las Vanguardias Neoplasticistas, siendo significativas la adaptación de sus seguidores de unas tendencias a otras y la influencia de las expresiones artísticas en el desarrollo de la arquitectura. Centramos el estudio en el arquitecto Gerrit Rietveld, inspirado en el modernismo europeo y el movimiento de artes plásticas holandesas De Stijl, como protagonista para comprender la evolución de la arquitectura de la época. Se revisa su trayectoria y la producción de sus obras tomando como caso de estudio la casa para un chófer, donde contrastar la evolución de su arquitectura doméstica en la que aborda tanto la incorporación de la estética neoplasticista como la formulación de prototipos de vivienda mínima e incorporando la prefabricación de los sistemas constructivos.

This Final Degree Project will address the relationship between Art and Architecture during the development of the Neoplasticist Vanguards, being significant the adaptation of its followers of some trends to others and the influence of artistic expressions in the development of architecture. We focus the study on the architect Gerrit Rietveld, inspired by European modernism and the Dutch plastic arts movement De Stijl, as the protagonist to understand the evolution of the architecture of the time. His trajectory and the production of his works are reviewed taking as a case study the house for a driver, where to contrast the evolution of his domestic architecture in which he addresses both the incorporation of neoplasticist aesthetics and the formulation of prototypes of minimum housing and incorporating the prefabrication of the constructive systems.
