El "acontecimiento singular" y el origen de las biografías funerarias egipcias: el caso de la dinastía Vª

Abstract

Las biografías funerarias constituyen uno de los géneros mayores de la literatura egipcia de la época Faraónica. Dentro de la etapa formativa de este tipo de textos, la dinastía Vª supone un hito importante. En ella aparecen los primeros modelos que incluyen lo que hemos dado en llamar “el acontecimiento singular”, que nos informa de un episodio concreto de la vida del individuo, normalmente en relación con el soberano. Esta incorporación supone un paso fundamental para los textos biográfi cos narrativos que al final de la dinastía VIª y durante el Primer Período Intermedio constituyen una culminación del género.

The biographical funerary texts coming from tombs built one of the most important gender of egyptian literature from the Pharaonic times. The V Dynasty is an important step in the growth of this kind of text. Here we fi nd the fi rst occurrence of what we call “the unique event”, focusing on a concrete incident in the life of the man, usually connected with the king. This is a very important element for the later long narrative biographies from the end of the VI Dynasty and the First Intermediate Period, that undoubtedly built one of the peaks of this genre.
