De conocer a entender: propuesta de plan de interpretación para Itálica

Abstract

En febrero de 2019, Itálica, Ciudad Adrianea entró a formar parte de la lista indicativa de Patrimonio Mundial. Tras años de arduo trabajo, este primer paso contribuirá a una mejor puesta en valor de esta antigua ciudad romana. Conseguido este reconocimiento, desde el presente TFM se plantea la necesidad de continuar repensando el modelo y el método de interpretación de Itálica, para difundir sus valores patrimoniales de una manera más efectiva a la sociedad. Se propone un Plan de Interpretación para Itálica, entendido como parte de su proceso de preservación. Para ello, se comienza analizando las diferentes facetas patrimoniales que compondrán su mensaje interpretativo. Se prestará especial atención a la justificación de sus VUE y de autenticidad y de integridad que se han presentado a la UNESCO. Posteriormente, se realiza un diagnóstico del programa de interpretación actual. Finalmente, se concluye con una propuesta de implementación, considerando la situación actual y las oportunidades potenciales.

In February 2019, The Hadrianic city of Italica became part of the World Heritage tentative list. After years of hard work, this first step will contribute to a better enhancement of this ancient Roman city. After achieving this recognition, this Master thesis tackles with the necessity of continuing to rethink the model and method of interpretation of Italica. The main objective is to transmit its heritage values in a more effective way to society. An Interpretation Plan is proposed for Italica, understood as part of its preservation process. Therefore, we begin by analysing the different heritage aspects that will make up its interpretive message. Particular attention will be paid to the justification of its outstanding universal values and to the statements of authenticity and integrity that have been presented to UNESCO. Subsequently, a diagnosis of the current interpretation programme is made. Finally, the study concludes with a proposal of implementation of Italica’s interpretation, considering the current situation and potential opportunities.
