El Estado en Hobbes: El producto de las modificaciones del concepto de poder hobbsesiano.

Abstract

El núcleo temático de este trabajo es la exposición y análisis sobre el concepto de poder dentro del edificio teórico de Hobbes. Esta exposición describe las distintas modificaciones del concepto de poder. Estas modificaciones poseen como punto de partida la relación del concepto de poder con el sujeto humano como sujeto natural. Posteriormente, el concepto de poder comienza a autonomizarse de la dependencia originaria de las facultades naturales humanas mediante la necesidad expandir sus límites categoriales a entidades circundantes que son denominadas como Secondary Powers. Más tarde, el concepto de poder instrumental se atisba como poder en sí mismo sin estar subordinado al poder original. Esta modificación está posibilitada por el deseo de poder espontáneo y potencialmente ilimitado dentro del estado de naturaleza. A continuación, el poder se monopoliza en la figura del soberano por la transferencia del derecho natural. Esta transferencia autoriza al soberano para emplear los medios necesarios para garantizar la seguridad y la supervivencia de los individuos. Sin embargo, el soberano precisa de un poder absoluto que se materialice en el control de los individuos y la inoculación del miedo para garantizar la obediencia de los individuos a las leyes civiles. Finalmente, el miedo se institucionaliza y el conflicto se controla, pero no desaparece de la entrañas del Leviatán .

The thematic core of this work is the exhibition and analysis on the concept of power within the theoretical building of Hobbes. This exhibition describes the different modifications of the concept of power. These individual modifications are as a starting point the relationship of the concept of power with the human subject as a natural subject. Subsequently, the concept of power begins to become autonomous from the original dependence of human natural faculties through the need to expand its categorical limits to surrounding entities that are referred to as Secondary Powers. Later, the concept of instrumental power is glimpsed as power in itself without being subordinate to the original power. This modification is enabled by the desire for spontaneous and potentially unlimited power within the state of nature. Then, power is monopolized in the figure of the sovereign by the transfer of natural law. This transfer authorizes the sovereign to use the necessary means to control the security and survival of individuals. However, the sovereign needs an absolute power that materializes in the control of individuals and the inoculation of fear to specify the obedience of individuals to civil laws. Finally, fear is institutionalized and c onflict is controlled, but it does not disappear from the bowels of Leviathan.
