"La chica diferente”. Estereotipo femenino reflejado en películas infantiles y de adolescentes

Abstract

En este trabajo analizaremos el estereotipo de “la chica diferente” en distintas películas dirigidas a un público infantil y adolescente. Para ello nos centraremos en cómo son caracterizados estos personajes femeninos, desde su físico, su carácter, su vestimenta o aspectos del lenguaje utilizado en los largometrajes, hasta los objetivos que las mujeres persiguen a lo largo de los mismos, así como los roles en los que encajan y los problemas a los que se enfrentan. Analizaremos también la relación que mantienen con otros personajes de la narración así como el contexto de la trama. Ajustándonos a la extensión de un Trabajo de Fin de Grado, basaremos el análisis en cuatro películas entre las que se encuentran La Bella y la Bestia (Beauty and the Beast, Kirk Wise y Gary Trousdale, 1991), Chicas malas (Mean Girls, Mark Waters, 2004), High School Musical (Kenny Ortega, 2006) y Crepúsculo (Twilight, Catherine Hardwicke, 2008).

In this work we will analyze the stereotype of "the different girl" in different films directed at a child and adolescent audience. For this, we will focus on how these female characters are, from their physical appearance, their character, their clothing or aspects of the language used in these movies, to the objectives that women pursue throughout them, as well as the roles in which they fit and the problems they face. We will also analyze the relationship he maintains with other characters in the narrative as well as the context of the plot. We will base the analysis on four films: Beauty and the Beast (Kirk Wise y Gary Trousdale, 1991), Mean Girls (Mark Waters, 2004), High School Musical (Kenny Ortega, 2006) and Twilight (Catherine Hardwicke, 2008).
