dc.description.abstract | The object of this project is to verify the generality of the Johnson paramenters and the proposed expression for
the calculation of real deformation, which are often found in the literature. There is no justification when these
parameters and the expression are given, and it is the reason why the analysis of these constants has been carried
out. For this, a problem of direct extrusion without friction (and without the thermal problem), of a preform with
a circular section, with an outlet section that is also circular, is posed.
At first, a theoretical approach to the problem has been carried out, detailing its characteristics, in order to
establish the basis of the problem to be studied. The need for the study has been justified, presenting in which
part of the problem the Johnson parameters and the real deformation appear.
On the other hand, for numerical resolution of the problem using FE, DEFORM-F2 has been used, through
which the extrusion force has been obtained, which is what allows us to find the real deformation, and finally,
the value of the constants. In addition, the relationship between the parametersthat define the material and those
constants has been studied.
The problem has been carried out for extrusion die without angle, and also for dies with a certain angle, in order
to see the influence of the die angle on the results. These results are quite consistent with what is proposed in the
literature when the angle is not considered, while when the die angle takes part in the process, the results are not
so promising. | es |
