La primavera árabe diez años después: consecuencias políticas y sociales en el mundo árabe

Abstract

Este estudio hace un análisis de la situación del mundo árabe una década después del conflicto civil que fue conocido como la primavera árabe en el año 2011. Una vez pasó el grueso de los acontecimientos (2011-2013) se ha producido un descenso claro de las noticias e informes de cual es la situación que cada uno de estos países viven tras diez años de las revueltas que cambiaron por completo a esta zona del mundo. Además de repasar los momentos más importantes en estos diez años, el trabajo tratará de esclarecer si la primavera árabe sirvió para mejorar las condiciones de vida de los ciudadanos de cada uno de los países, si siguió igual con algunos cambios menores o si este hecho histórico acabó por destruir una zona tan frágil del mundo. Los países tratados en este estudio son los pertenecientes al Magreb (Marruecos, Argelia, Túnez, Libia y Egipto), los reinos de la península arábiga (Arabia Saudí, Qatar, Emiratos Árabes Unidos, Bahréin, Yemen y Omán) y los países cercanos al mediterráneo (Siria, Líbano y Jordania). Además, este trabajo tratará temas como la influencia del terrorismo yihadista, la incapacidad del mundo árabe de llevar a cabo un proceso democrático y las influencias extranjeras en la región, así como las crisis generadas por los conflictos tales como la de los refugiados o la inmigración ilegal.

This paper analyzes the situation in the Arab world a decade after the civil conflict that was known as the Arab Spring in 2011. Once the bulk of the events (2011-2013) have passed, there has been a clear decrease in the news and reports on the situation of each of these countries after ten years of the revolts that completely changed this part of the world. In addition to reviewing the most important moments in these ten years, the work will try to clarify whether the Arab Spring served to improve the living conditions of the citizens of each of the countries, whether it remained the same with some minor changes or whether this historic event ended up destroying such a fragile area of the world. The countries covered in this study are those belonging to the Maghreb (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya and Egypt), the kingdoms of the Arabian Peninsula (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Yemen and Oman) and the countries near the Mediterranean Sea (Syria, Lebanon and Jordan). In addition, this paper will address issues such as the influence of jihadism, the inability of the Arab world to carry out a democratic process and foreign influences in the region, as well as the crises generated by these conflicts such as refugees or illegal immigration.
