dc.description.abstract | The DEFORM-2D program is a very powerful tool that provides the opportunity to simulate different machining processes allowing the selection of both geometric and material characteristics. Using this tool will study the evolution over time of the temperature, stress, strain and strain rates at three different points of the chip. Also studied the influence on the simulations of the parameters of calculation of temperature in the tool and the heat transfer coefficient. Also, it will be studied the influence on the simulations of the parameters of calculation of temperature in the tool and the heat transfer coefficient. Within the simulations to be developed, comparisons will be made between different materials both in the part and in the tool. Finally, to check whether this simulation system is reliable, the temperatures obtained during the simulations will be compared with the temperature obtained with the Boothroyd method. | es |
