The L(log L)e endpoint estimate for maximal singular integral operators
(Elsevier, 2015-08-01)We prove in this paper the following estimate for the maximal operator T ∗ associated to the singular integral operator ...

The limit relations between generalized orthogonal polynomials
(Elsevier, 1997-09)We consider the different limit transitions for modifications of the classical polynomials obtained by the addition of one ...

The modification of classical Hahn polynomials of a discrete variable
(Taylor & Francis, 1995)We consider a modi cation of moment functionals for the Hahn classical polynomials of a discrete variable by adding two ...

The multilinear strong maximal function
(Springer, 2011-01)A multivariable version of the strong maximal function is introduced and a sharp distributional estimate for this operator ...

The product formula
(Universitat de Barcelona, 1991)A useful property of the Brouwer degree relates the degree of a composition of maps to the degree of each map. This property, ...

The proximal point method for locally lipschitz functions in multiobjective optimization with application to the compromise problem
(Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, 2018)This paper studies the constrained multiobjective optimization problem of finding Pareto critical points of vector-valued ...

The q-Racah-Krall-type polynomials
(Elsevier, 2012-08-01)In this paper the Krall-type polynomials obtained via the addition of two mass points to the weight function of the ...

The Rayleigh-Taylor condition for the evolution of irrotational fluid interfaces
(National Academy of Sciences, 2009-07-07)For the free boundary dynamics of the two-phase Hele-Shaw and Muskat problems, and also for the irrotational incompressible ...

The Szlenk index and the fixed point property under renorming
(Springer Open, 2010)Assume that X is a Banach space such that its Szlenk index Sz X is less than or equal to the first infinite ordinal ω. We ...

The Transition Between the Navier–Stokes Equations to the Darcy Equation in a Thin Porous Medium
(Springer, 2018)We consider a Newtonian flow in a thin porous medium Ωε of thickness ε which is perforated by periodically distributed ...

The ε-entropy of some infinite dimensional compact ellipsoids and fractal dimension of attractors
(American Institute of Mathematical Sciences, 2017-09)We prove an estimation of the Kolmogorov ε-entropy in H of the unitary ball in the space V, where H is a Hilbert space and ...

The τ-fixed point property for left reversible semigroups
(Springer Open, 2015-12)In this article we use the generalized Gossez-Lami Dozo property and the Opial condition to study the fixed point property ...

The τ-fixed point property for nonexpansive mappings
(1998)Let X be a Banach space and τ a topology on X. We say that X has the τ-fixed point property (τ-FPP) if every nonexpansive ...

Thin sets of integers in Harmonic analysis and p-stable random Fourier series
(Springer, 2011-06)We investigate the behavior of some thin sets of integers defined through random trigonometric polynomial when one replaces ...

Time-shift invariance determines the functional shape of the current in dissipative rocking ratchets
(2013)Ratchets are devices that are able to rectify an otherwise oscillatory behavior by exploiting an asymmetry of the system. ...

Total and non-total suborbits for hypercyclic operators
(Springer, 2022-11-11)In this note, it is proved that if X is a separable infinite dimensional Fréchet space that admits a continuous norm then, ...

Trudinger inequalities without derivatives
(American Mathematical Society, 2002)We prove that the Trudinger inequality holds on connected homogeneous spaces for functions satisfying a very weak type of Poincar´e inequality. We also illustrate the connection between this result and the John-Nirenberg theorem for BMO.
