This project deals with the telematization and automation of a signal acquisition system in the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería (ETSI) radio communications laboratory. For this purpose, an infrastructure has been designed in a UNIX environment, using the operating system’s own tools and the Python programming language to develop the programs that will interconnect the laboratory’s instruments. The instruments to communicate have been a R&S® SMU200A vector signal generator, a Keysight® N6700C DC signal generator and a Keysight® N9030A PXA vector signal analyzer. To coordinate the connection between these elements, a Raspberry Pi 4B was used with the Raspberry Pi OS Lite operating system installed. As a final product, a remote control system has been obtained from which it is possible to manage the switching on and off of the machines, the sending of measurement requests and the reception of the results of the measurements, as well as a system for storing the history of measurements that have been taken, with an automatic daily copy of all the data in the cloud. |
