owadays, it is increasingly necessary for a greater number of researchers and companies to
dedicate their time to make good predictions for the future of energy systems, due to the
enormous growth of the population and the increase in their energy needs, in order to have access
to good planning. There is a quick and continuous evolution of the power generation systems, and
because of this, more and more tools are designed for the mentioned analyses and a greater interest
in them.
Along with this, it is necessary to achieve a future that is as safe and efficient as possible in terms
of energy, and therefore, the existence of free-use tools, such as the one that will be used in this
project, is something essential in the development of such.
The purpose of this work will be to learn how to use the tool FlexTool, developed by IRENA
(International Renewable Energy Agency) in October 2018, carrying out a study of the Spanish
energy panorama of 2030. With this tool, using the Spanish energy panorama of 2017 as a starting
point and through the predictions for the year 2030, various scenarios will be simulated according
to different improvement criterias. The state of the electrical system will be analysed in terms of
loss of charge, cut in renewables and costs, along with more parameters that will be mentioned in
the project. Once this study has been carried out, the benefits that could bring a greater and better
use of storage systems and interconnections will be checked. | es |
